You'll also need sunscreen and insect repellent. A flashlight may be useful. Throw an inexpensive inflatable pool raft into your suitcase for floating off the dock. The grocery stores have most everything you might need in the way of food and general supplies. Most places accept Mastercard and Visa but the grocery stores prefer cash or travellers checks. When you get here: Pick up a copy of the local newspaper, The Abaconian, in most stores and restaurants, for more information on local events. Another great source of Abaco information is at "Sandy Estabrook's Guide to the Abacos" The Library in New Plymouth offers internet access. If you need medical attention on Green Turtle Cay, there
is a government clinic in New Plymouth (Tel. 242-365-4028). Getting around: Bicycles and golf carts are available for rent for exploring the island and beautiful beaches.
